INTRODUCTION to the various works

At the moment I work primarily with screenprinting on canvas and paper for wall display, but also works on wood and stone that can stand anywhere in a room....and textile for wearing.

All works are handmade and UNICA, except for tshirts made with digitalprints.

Short information about my background

Living in Denmark near Copenhagen, I began painting in 1989 alongside my regular job. In the summer 1996 I resigned from 12 years of fixed monthly salary and jumped into a dream of working full time with my creativity. After several exhibtions in 1997 followed the debut exhibition in January 1998.

Besides painting and exhibition activities I began making art workshops (1999), made feature & documentary films (2001-2003), collaborated and performed with a music band (2001-2002), received a culture prize for my activities with the youth (2001), had a gallery in Copenhagen (2005-2013) with loads of workshops and exhibitions and made a book about screenprinting (2014). Since 2020 I have been promoting my art and the use of screenprinting in Spain. In 2021 I made a production of clothing and textile products with over 20 different designs made of images from my art works.

I began working with screenprinting in 2006 and also I make screens and stencils with a customer´s own images, and sell my own images and materials for screenprinting and use my experience to guide others.

I work primarily with screenprinting on canvas, paper, wood, stone and textile. The screenprinted images are mostly my own photos especially from New York. Some times I work with very fine oilbased fluid painting in drip and abstract expression. Some years ago I worked with collage in a painted style, making use of own photos mainly from Copenhagen depicting the culture and people. I enjoy an abstract element in my paintings, but depicting elements of a culture is also an interesting image for a viewer in 200 years.
